Mr. Kong has since branched into film direction, beginning with the short - POLLEN, written by Nic Cha Kim and starring Alec Mapa, Felix Pire, and Becky Baeling.

He followed that with Dennis Hensley's SCREENING PARTY, a half hour multi-camera sitcom based on the novel of the same name, starring Dennis Hensley, Tony Tripoli, Ossie Beck, Erin Quill, Felix Pire, Nora Burns and a cameo by Chil Kong.

Then he developed his own half hour single camera comedy THE OH MALLEY’S, and quickly moved to a full length feature THE MIKADO PROJECT based on the hit musical with the same name. Revamped for the big screen, the movie follows a rag tag band of Asian American theater artist who in a moment of desperation put up Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado.

From there Chil directed another half hour multi camera sitcom JUST THE THREE OF US (currently in post), preparing the shoot yet another half hour multi camera sitcom THE CHARLES KIM SHOW (currently in pre-production), in pre-production for the feature K-Town PI and in development with two other features THE KAIFENG and QWERTY, both scheduled to shoot in 2010.http://www.lodestonetheatre.org/http://velvetcandyentertainment.blogspot.com/2007_05_27_archive.htmlhttp://velvetcandyentertainment.blogspot.com/2007_05_27_archive.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1shapeimage_2_link_2
